Cash Saving Expert exists for one reason: most households in the UK are paying more than they need to, and the money is usually recoverable with an afternoon’s work.
What we do
We write plain-English guides on cutting everyday costs — energy, broadband, mobile, insurance, banking, groceries, travel and the rest. Every guide is written to be acted on, not just read. That means actual steps, actual numbers to check, and an honest note when something is more hassle than it is worth.
How we decide what to recommend
We start from what is genuinely best for a typical household, then check whether a commission is available — not the other way round. Plenty of our recommendations earn us nothing. Where a product has a catch, we say so. See our affiliate disclosure for exactly how we make money.
What we are not
We are not financial advisers, and nothing on this site is personal financial advice. We do not know your income, your debts or your circumstances. We give general information so you can make your own decision, and we will tell you when a situation warrants proper regulated advice.
Keeping things current
Prices and rates move constantly. We review guides regularly, but the provider’s own website is always the final word. Check current terms before you commit to anything.
